Zuka Maisashvili, the founder of the Winery "Gvinuka", deeply believes that the wine will be of higher quality in 2024 than last year. The winemaker, who holds an organic vineyard in Racha, told BMG about this while discussing the expectations of the region's early vintage.

"This year we have good quality grapes. I think the wine harvest will be of higher quality in 2024 compared to 2023," he said.

"Gvinuka" manages the Alexandrouli and Mujuretuli vineyards planted on 0.5 ha in Racha, where 5,000 bottles of wine are planned to be produced this year. Zuka Maiashvili, the founder of the winery, explains the reason for the improved harvest indicators in the region: "Unlike the previous year, the yield and qualitative indicators of grapes in Racha have improved significantly. The reason for this is that the weather was more or less good. The good quality and quantity of grapes will eliminate the deficit created in the region last year," Maisashvili said, adding that they expect a harvest of 2,500-3,000 tons in Racha this year.

In Ambrolauri municipality, Racha region, grape picking has already started, and the predicted harvest volume in the region is within 2000 tons this year. More than 50 private wine companies will be involved in the process of harvest.
