Wissol Paid GEL 360 MLN in Taxes to the State Budget in 2025 - CEO Vasil Khorava

Wissol

Wissol contributed GEL 360 million to Georgia’s state budget in 2025 through VAT and excise taxes, according to the company’s CEO Vasil Khorava. He shared the figures while responding to a question from MP Vako Turnava during a session of the parliamentary Price Commission.

Khorava said Wissol’s market share is estimated at 22–23%, based on the company’s sales data. Although the company does not calculate its exact share independently, he noted that Wissol remains one of the major players in Georgia’s fuel import market.

As an importing company, Wissol’s tax contributions are substantial. In 2025, the company paid around GEL 194 million in VAT and GEL 170 million in excise tax, totaling GEL 360 million transferred to the state budget.

The Price Commission continues to evaluate pricing mechanisms across multiple sectors, including fuel, to prepare policy recommendations for market transparency and consumer protection.
