On Monday, June 3, during a working meeting, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced the construction of a new city center in the Noragyugh district. The project will be implemented in two phases, with the mayor emphasizing the importance of its investment attractiveness for collaboration with major international construction companies.
Avinyan noted the necessity of promptly discussing the project in the project implementation office and suggested looking to international examples of large investment initiatives. "We can go beyond standard procedures," he added.
Previously, BMG reported that French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte and his architectural firm are working on the project for the completion of the Yerevan Cascade and the concept of the Noragyugh district reconstruction. The conceptual proposals were presented to Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan during his visit to Paris in May of this year.
