The plant producing aircraft composite parts ATC (Aero-Structure Technologies Cyclone) opened today. Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili, representatives of Government of Georgia, parliament, local self-governments, diplomatic corps and business sector and Government of Israel have attended official inauguration ceremony.

As stated David Saganelidze, Georgia will obtain its place on the world’s air market map, which means that international companies trust Georgia and this is a serious sign for investors. According to him, at least 90% of people employed in the plant will be Georgian citizens, who received a retraining course in Israel. Consumers of the produce of the plant will be major players of the world air market, like Boing, Bombardier, Airbus and other leading companies.

100% of the produce of the plant will be export-oriented. Upon reaching full-scale capacity (the 5th year), the annual sales of the enterprise will be $60 million and more. The total investment cost of the joint project of Partnership Fund and Israeli company Elbit Cyclon is $93 million. Presently, the company has up to 80 employees, but once the plant reaches its full-scale capacity, it is planned to employ 300 people. The plant will produce composite parts for civil aircrafts, including aerodynamic airfoil, doors and other.

The process of technical equipment of the high-technology aircraft composite parts plant (ATC), complying with international standards, is completed. By the agreement between the partners, the plant was constructed of high standard certified construction materials. For the walls and the roof of the plant sandwich-panels were used, which panels were produced by affiliated company Panex, founded jointly by Partnership Fund and ICES, Ltd.
