Bidzina Ivanishvili is returning to politics – according to Giorgi Kvirikashvili, he personally requested the former prime-minister to lead the Georgian Dream Democratic Georgia Party. Ivanishvili gave his consent. “People need clarity. We as a ruling party feel responsible to people. We are facing the necessity to strengthen the party as far as possible and make our team stronger. We are unified by common political vision in both domestic and external directions.
We must retain unanimity. Mr. Ivanishvili established this party in the most difficult period of the country’s recent history. Establishment of the party was the turning point for Georgia. I want to tell you that I requested him to lead the party on behalf of the whole team and I am happy that he gave his consent,” – stated Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
