Very thematic news. High time to dig deeper into the Energy sector then. Securing Georgia’s Energy Future (SGEF) Program is a $15.7 million 5-year project implemented by Deloitte Consulting LLP and funded by the American people via the U.S. Agency for International Development. The purpose of SGEF is to improve Georgia's energy security by reducing the sector’s susceptibility to malign influence through sound long-term policymaking and governance, increased private-sector investment in renewable energy production (including wind, solar and hydropower), building the capacity of Georgian institutions to effectively and sustainably manage domestic energy markets, and improved energy sector resilience to cyber threats. Daniel Potash Chief of Party - USAID Securing Georgia's Energy Future program sat down for an interview with The Checkpoints.
