National Bank of Georgia has developed a package, according to which access to loans will be limited for certain professions. This is mainly about self-employed professions, like: taxi drivers, coaches, babysitters, car repairer, hair dresser, transfers. Before financial institutions issue loans for people working in the above fields, they should study their financial situation. However, even after this kind of study, the upper limits of loans are limited and it is not ‘desirable’ to go over these limits for people of these professions.

The working document reads that in various cases it is ‘desirable’ that the loan remains within the limits of 6 000 GEL:

- Taxi – the loan should desirably be within the limits of 6000 GEL;

- Coach/tutor – the loan should desirably be within the limits of 6000 GEL;

- Car repairer – the loan should desirably be within the limits of 6000 GEL;

- Babysitter - the loan should desirably be within the limits of 2000 GEL;

- Hair dresser - the loan should desirably be within the limits of 3500 GEL;

- Transfers – the loan should desirably be within the limits of 2000 GEL.

It is also noted in the document that in case of exceptions the reason for which the loan amount goes beyond the set limits should be described in detail and documented as far as possible.
