MADE IN GEORGIA - August
Have you noticed a chain of boulangerie in Tbilisi titled August with the variety of very tasty breads and fruit jams made with Georgian fruits but Italian technologies? or Chocolates for that matter? Well, it’s something that falls under Made in Georgia rubric, since yes this is the business that’s - Georgian. Salome Chipashvili interviewed sisters Morchiladze who have been inspired by August Tsang who opened a bakery in Paris in the 19th century and made croissants the most popular pastry. This inspiration was long ago when sisters were still teenagers - now they are all grown and run their own business and it’s named August.
