This remark comes after the Competition agency has finished its study of the pharmaceutical market - Irakli Lekvinadze, head of the Competition Agency, declared in April that he would publish "a highly qualified analysis by the end of the year" to the public. However, the interim report does not give a clear answer to the main question of how "greedy" the pharmaceutical sector is and what is the average profit margin in Georgia. However, the Agency has some specific recommendations on how to increase financial accessibility of medicine for the population. I sat down with the CEO of the largest Medical Holding in Georgia - Georgia Healthcare Group - Nikoloz Gamkrelidze for an interview on the private sector assessment of the Agency’s interim report.
