In the first quarter of the year, Georgia generated 561 mln USD income from tourism. Since the beginning of the year, the incomes most of all grew in March and made 237 mln USD, which is 57 mln USD more than in the same period last year.
Total income generated from tourism last year was 2.7 bln USD. In March, number of international visitors in Georgia was 13% more than in the same period last year, while the number of tourists has increased by 33%.
