The European Investment Bank will allocate a loan for the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation, which money will be used for construction of the first ever Georgian underground gas storage. The government has already announced its consent for allocating the loan for the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation. EIB will allocate 100 mln USD for the underground gas storage. The underground gas storage will be constructed on the depleted oil field at Samgori south dome. The entire cost of the project is estimated to be over 250 million USD. Capacity of the storage shall be up to 300 cubic meters of gas.
