Gebrüder Weiss, a large Austrian transport and logistics company, will invest additional 2 million euro to expand its terminal in Georgia, Member of the Company's Board Wolfram Senger-Weiss stated during today's meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili.

According to him, the company is happy about its investments in Georgia and welcomes the country's dynamics.

"We came to Georgia about five years ago, and we are very happy with our investment. We talked about businesses we attracted, and we attracted a large Japanese customer. This positive development will extend further. We plan to invest additional 2 million euro to expand our logistics terminal. This is the first step in the next phase of development. The Prime Minister told me that the country is doing very well, and he is interested in the development of the logistics sector. The decision to open a logistics terminal in Georgia, which we took a couple of years ago, was right, and we are happy to be here," Wolfram Senger-Weiss stated after his meeting with the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Gebrüder Weiss has invested 10 million euro in the development of its logistics terminal in Tbilisi which is one of the largest in the South Caucasus.

The company's key areas of operation include land transport, air and sea cargo transport, logistics and others. Gebrüder Weiss' global network incorporates 150 branches in 28 countries and employs more than 7,000 people.

The meeting with the Prime Minister was attended by Gebrüder Weiss Managing Director Alexander Kharlamov and Regional Manager Thomas Moser, and Georgian first Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitri Kumsishvili.
