According to Italian Ambassador Antonio Enrico Bartoli, infrastructure is one of the most interesting investment sectors in Georgia. In an interview with business media Georgia, Italian Ambassador has highlighted the role infrastructure projects are playing in modernization of Georgian economy.
“Infrastructure is very interesting sector of Georgian economy. We see a wide variety of truly remarkable projects ongoing in Georgia, projects like the port of Anaklia and modernisation of east-west highway. These projects are crucial and indispensable for Georgia to transform itself as a transport corridor”, Italian Ambassador to Georgia H.E.Antonio Enrico Bartoli noted.
In addition, the Ambassador said initiative of Georgian government to introduce special tax regime for transnational companies is interesting, but it is not enough for attracting new investments. As Antonio Enrico Bartoli notes for foreign investors much more important factor is having political stability.
