The Grand Opening of the ‘Timeo’ Snail Processing Plant
Last week, the snail processing plant opened in the village of Tsilkani. The plant, the only one of its kind in the region, will process 1,000 tons of snails annually and export all of it to France. Timeo, the company to which the plant belongs, invested around seven million GEL. Today, the Tsilkani snail processing plant employs one hundred people, but this number is said to increase in the near future.
