Dimitry Kumsishvili: Our goal is the EU full membership

“Today Georgia is an associate member of the EU, but we, Georgians, have a great hope that we will become a full member of the European Union in the nearest future,” – the First Vice Prime Minister, Dimitry Kumsishvili stated at the event dedicated to the European Days.

According to the First Vice Prime Minister, Georgia is getting closer to the EU daily. “Trade is increasing significantly – the trade turnover with the EU in the first three months of this year has increased by 28%. Every year the EU provides 100 million EUR assistance to Georgia. The process of harmonization of the Georgian legislation with the EU is also in its active phase. Our goal is the full membership of the EU,” – Dimitry Kumsishvili stated.

First Vice Prime Minister Dimitry Kumsishvili inspected the research laboratory of the Innovations and Technologies Agency, which was specially designed for children. The exhibition of works created in the Technology Park was introduced there as well the workshops for children of different ages and a digital drawing corner. At the same time, information centers for the blinds and the gesture language translation services was available for the public.

First Vice Prime Minister Dimitry Kumsishvili also participated in the awarding ceremony of the children participating in the children’s workshop.
