Fixed internet is cheaper in Georgia on average – this is was the GNCC recent report says. The document shows that domestic internet costs on average 18.26 GEL as of August 2020, which is 40 tetri less than in the same period in 2019. As for the commercial sector, tariff equals 142 GEL. This price is 113 GEL fewer Y-o-Y.
According to GNCC, revenues that Georgian Internet Provider generated in January-August 2020 increased by 8 million GEL or by 5% reaching 160 million GEL. The statistics show that internet providers have 925 thousand users in total, and this number has grown by 38 thousand in one year. This growth was the main reason why leading providers managed to increase their revenues.
