According to the Deputy Minister of Finance Giorgi Kakauridze, we should all do our best to avoid the need to impose certain restrictions, as they will have an impact not only on this year's economic growth but further.

Giorgi Kakauridze answered MP Giorgi Vashadze's question about the possible adjustments in the projected economic growth.

As the Deputy Minister of Finance noted, one of the main risks - the pandemic is considered in all scenarios, including the pessimistic scenario.

"This risk of the pandemic-related issues has not disappeared anywhere. In this case, in the pessimistic scenario, economic growth of 5.5% is expected - relatively less than in the baseline scenario. However, my position is that we should all do our best to avoid imposing certain restrictions.

Further restrictions will impact not only this year's economic growth but will also reduce the significant economic potential we have in 2022.
