The number of new COVID-19 cases is increased in Tbilisi in comparison to the last days – said Marina Endeladze, Director of the boxed ward of Tbilisi Hospital of Infectious Diseases.

“Of course, we should care about every region, but taking into consideration the density of population in Tbilisi, which also represents the main venue of different activities, we should be careful,” Endeladze said.

Out of 549 new coronavirus cases reported in Georgia, 348 are linked to Adjara, 99 to Tbilisi, 59 to Imereti. Other cases were revealed in different regions of Georgia.

Georgia has reported 549 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) today, bringing the total number of infected people to 9 245.

The 368 patients recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of cured persons to 4 887. The virus-related death toll stands at 58 in the country.
