Austrian company PlanRadar continues its expansion in the Georgian market and introduces digital technologies in the facilities operation and maintenance sectors. The company announced a new collaboration with a Georgian partner, Dariali Energy JSC.

Dariali Energy is a private company founded in 2011 that owns and operates Dariali HPP, one of the largest hydropower plants in Georgia, situated in Kazbegi municipality. With an installed capacity of 108 MW, Dariali HPP, generating approximately 6% of the total electricity consumption in Georgia and providing energy to 200,000 households annually, is the first largest hydropower plant commissioned in independent Georgia.

Dariali Energy is truly an international company with Georgian, American, and Japanese shareholders. The US company Robbins, in operation since 1952, has revolutionized tunnel construction and is a global industry leader in innovation. TEPCO, founded in 1951, is the largest electric utility company in Japan and the 4th largest in the world.

By obtaining financing from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Dariali HPP project became one of the first energy projects in Georgia to rely on limited recourse to the financial sponsors and, under an A/B loan syndication structure, demonstrated new financing methods to other project developers in the market.

Dariali HPP has the potential to be the first energy project to deliver carbon-neutral construction in Georgia. Dariali Energy is undertaking a large-scale reforestation which will target the full compensation of all greenhouse gas emissions associated with the HPP over its lifecycle (construction and operation), through the capture of carbon in vegetation.

Giorgi Kavtaradze, CEO of Dariali Energy: “We are thrilled to announce a successful collaboration with PlanRadar. This partnership marks a significant milestone for our company in advancing the field of project management and showcases its potential of delivering solutions for complex challenges.

Dariali Energy is committed to driving technical and technological innovation. Teaming up with PlanRadar exemplifies this dedication, as we work together to transform project management processes in the energy industry to automate and optimize the processes for hydropower plant operation and maintenance. With PlanRadar, our teams will be able to improve efficiency, communication, and decision-making, and can expect a range of benefits, including:

1. Intelligent automation: PlanRadar’s software automates routine tasks, such as data entry and document analysis, saving users valuable time and effort;

2. Enhanced communication: the system facilitates clearer and more effective communication among project stakeholders, improving collaboration and reducing misunderstandings; and

3. Informed decision-making: PlanRadar’s advanced analytics capabilities provide users with data-driven insights and recommendations, empowering them to make well-informed decisions.

Both companies are confident that our joint efforts will take hydropower project management to the next level. This successful partnership reflects a shared commitment to innovation and delivering exceptional value to customers.”

Avtandil Mekudishvili, Sales Consultant of PlanRadar in Georgia: “We are very pleased to cooperate with such a partner as Dariali Energy - their hydroelectric power plant project is impressive in its technological and civil engineering sophistication and complex of different engineering units that need to be monitored and properly maintained. We are confident that our digital solution will be effective for a structure as complex from an engineering point of view as a run-of-the-river hydroelectric power plant, where it is crucial to have a digital monitoring and process control system for flawless and safe plant operation.”

PlanRadar is a platform for convenient and easy digital management of construction projects, real estate, and facility management projects. The features of the application allow users to conduct effective inspections on site: to record comments digitally on plans and attach a photo and video evidence, control the quality of construction works, and manage real estate during the facility’s entire life cycle. PlanRadar supports progressive technologies which can be very useful in construction or facility management NFC-technology and QR-codes. NFC technology can streamline regular maintenance projects by placing tags in areas that required ongoing maintenance. As teams move throughout the facility, tickets with all needed information on regular maintenance are pulled up, and ready to be reviewed and updated. QR code saves time finding the right Ticket when working on-site. Scan the QR code with your camera or PlanRadar mobile app and the linked ticket will open. PlanRadar streamlines processes and saves time, therefore it helps customers stay within budget and time.

PlanRadar, an Austrian IT company and developer of the SaaS platform, was founded in 2013. Multilanguage platform PlanRadar helps 120,000+ clients from 65+ markets digitize their construction, real estate, and facility management processes.
