In Q4 2021 the nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP) amounted to GEL 17 229.9 million. Thevreal GDP growth by 8.8 percent YoY, while the GDP deflator increased by 13.4%, - show the preliminary dta from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
According to Geostat, significant contributions to the real GDP growth in Q4 2021 is related to increase of value-added of the following activities: Transportation and storage (40.6%), Wholesale and retail trade (11.2%), Real estate activities (15.0%), Accommodation and food service activities (72.8%), Human health and social work activities (34.4%), Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (56.5%), Arts, entertainment and recreation (31.0%), Financial and insurance activities (10.1%), Information and communication (14.4%).
Decrease was registered in the real value added of Construction (-33.4%), Public administration and defence; compulsory social security (-1.5 %) and Activities of households as employers; undifferentiated goods and servicies producing activities of household for own use (-36.1%).
The largest shares of GDP by activity are held by Trade (17.7%), Manufacturing (12.3%), followed by Real estate activities (10.0%), Construction (8.8%), Transportation and storage (6.5%), Public administration (6.2%), Agriculture, forestry and fishing (5.7%), Financial and insurance activities (5.0%).
