2 344 329 international travelers have visited Georgia during the period of January-July, reads the recent data of the Georgian National Travel Administration (GNTA).
The figure is 214% more as compared to the same period of the prior-year and represents 47.2% recovery from pre-pandemic Jan-July 2019 data.
As for international tourists visits conducted during the report period the number was 1 668 983, which is 162% more as compared to Jan-July 2021. It is 61.9% recovery of Jan-July 2019.
In July only 718 401 international travelers’ visits were conducted in Georgia. It is 177% more than in July 2021 and makes 65.3% recovery for the same period of 2019.
International tourist visits had totalled 459 711, marking an 80.6 percent recovery for the same period of 2019 and a 115 percent increase year-on-year, GNTA says.
