Railway Administrations and logistics companies held a working meeting in Tashkent, which was attended by Kakha Gudiashvili, Director of Freight Transportation of Georgian Railways.
The meeting was focused on the current challenges and future prospects of the corridor connecting from China to Turkey and Europe through Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The route launched in 2019, is characterized by a growing trend of container shipments.
At the meetings, the foreign counterparts discussed the responsibilities of the parties, the terms of shipment and the tariff conditions for the smooth operation of the container shipping. They also expressed hope that despite the situation in the region, the growing trend of cargo shipment on the existing route will be maintained.
