The amount of pensions will increase from next year, - the Prime Minister, Irakli Gharibashvili said at the government meeting today.
According to him, from January 2022, the pension for persons under 70 will be set at GEL 260, and for persons aged 70 and over at GEL 300.
"The amount of pension will increase next year. From January 2022, the pension for persons under 70 is set at GEL 260, and for persons aged 70 and over at GEL 300. The amount of pension in highland settlements is GEL 312 for people under 70 years old, and 360 for people aged 70 and over", Gharibashvili said.
The increase in pensions is provided in the Law on State Pensions, which has been approved by the Parliament of Georgia in the spring session of 2020.
