The European Union, for example, with which I personally had the honor to sign an association agreement, an agreement on a deep and comprehensive free trade area, is gradually becoming one of the largest trade partners in Georgia, - Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili said at the Global Security Forum (GLOBSEC) in Bratislava.
According to the head of government, it takes time to see new alternatives and gain new markets.
"The European Union, for example, with which I personally had the honor to sign an association agreement, an agreement on a deep and comprehensive free trade space, is gradually becoming one of the largest trade partners in Georgia. It takes time to see new alternatives, to find new markets. I would not say that Russia is the biggest trade partner for Georgia. It's important, but not the biggest. We are moving towards the European Union, as I have already mentioned, we are looking for new options, alternatives, etc.," the Prime Minister said.
