More than 60 heads of corporations and businessmen from different countries have published a letter in support of Mamuka Khazaradze ahead of the Khazaradze, Japaridze, Tsereteli trial.
"We hope that the Georgian court will take all this into account and issue a verdict of acquittal," reads the letter.
In the address spread by famous businessmen, the signatories emphasize Mamuka Khazaradze's contribution to the development of Georgia.
"Mamuka has dedicated his entire life to rebuilding Georgia. His outstanding efforts and success have improved many industries, including the banking system and the economy of the entire country," reads the letter.
According to Lelo, representatives of up to 20 countries, which have the largest capital and are the world's largest investors, fully support the chairman of the Lelo party and hope that the trial will be fair and he will be acquitted.
"We, the graduates of Harvard Business School and friends of Mamuka Khazaradze, OPM29 2000 – have known Mamuka for more than 20 years and support him because we know his patriotism, honesty and loyalty to the Georgian people. Mamuka Khazaradze is an active member of our group, which consists of business leaders from all over the world. In 2013, he hosted our annual alumni gathering in Georgia. This gathering was the most successful and amazing thing for us. We discovered a beautiful Georgia, with its invaluable culture and hospitable people”, reads the letter.
