McDonald’s Kazakhstan (Food Solutions KZ, LLP) temporary suspends operations of all its restaurants from 18th of November, 2022 due to local supply limitations. The company is making every effort to resume operations promptly. The timing of the reopening of restaurants will be announced later, the company announced on November 17 in its social networks.

The company "Food Solutions KZ" LLP has been operating in Kazakhstan for more than 6 years and is one of the leaders in the quick service restaurants industry. The Company has 24 restaurants of McDonald's brand in the following cities of Kazakhstan: Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Aktobe, Kostanay, Karaganda and employs about 2,000 people.

McDonald’s franchises in Kazakhstan, Belarus and certain Russian regions belong to Kazakh businessman Kairat Boranbaev. He was arrested in March 2022 within the framework of investigations of a major theft criminal case.

McDonald’s restaurants in Kazakhstan have already closed their operations on July 5, 2022. Then the company announced that the establishments were closed "due to technical reasons," Forbes kazakhstan reports.
