"To set the conditions of an ultimatum and say that is a dialogue - is like hot snow. It does not work," - said the Minister of Finance Ivane Machavariani at a briefing at the government administration in response to a reporter's question about the terms of dialogue between the government and the opposition.

Ivane Machavariani explained that what the opposition calls the conditions for dialogue are ultimatums, which exclude dialogue.

"When the opposition demands that the government agree to dialogue only if there will be a discussion on re-elections ... the government should also say that we are ready for dialogue, but only if the opposition assumes entering the parliament ... This won't be a dialogue, will it? It will be an ultimatum. The ultimatum and the dialogue are mutually exclusive., "- said Ivane Machavariani.

The Minister of Finance also noted that statements are often heard from the opposition that they are ready to reach an agreement so that the country is not destroyed, which is good.

"We often hear from the opposition - 'we are not going to destroy the country, so we have to agree,' which is very good," the Minister said.
