The representative of "Strategy Builder" sent a parliamentary question to the President of the National Bank: "Please answer whether you have information on how many citizens of the Russian Federation opened accounts in Georgian banks from February 24, 2022 to February 8, 2023. If you have the mentioned information, please provide us with the number".

According to the National Bank, a specific person may have more than one account opened in different banks, but the total number of persons includes duplicate data.

"We provided the data in a consolidated form, based on the principle of confidentiality. The information includes data for the period from February 24 to December 31, 2022. The data for 2023 is not yet available," Koba Gvenetadze wrote in the letter sent to the MP.
