The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili declares, that "pleasant information" about the mineral water "Borjomi" will be announced soon.

"Generally, I will tell you one thing, our main motivation is to protect the national interests of our country as much as possible. In all directions, it does not matter whether it is energy or economy. We are actively working now. We will tell our citizens good news on this issue very soon. I do not want to talk about details today, but I want to assure you that we are working on all these problems and issues to protect the interests of our country and people," Gharibashvili said.

IDS Borjomi Georgia stated that the company would be forced to temporarily suspend production at both Borjomi bottling plants from April 29 this year.

Since 2013, 60% of IDS Borjomi is owned by Alfa Group, one of the largest privately-owned financial investment conglomerates in Russia.

The founder of Alfa Group is Russian businessman Mikhail Fridman, who has been listed by a number of countries among the sanctioned oligarchs since the start of hostilities in Ukraine.

“The company has continued to operate to this day in the hope of substantially rectifying the situation, which unfortunately has not been possible so far.

Due to the above, the company is forced to temporarily suspend the production process in both Borjomi bottling plants from April 29.

We hope that the situation will improve in the near future and we will have the opportunity to resume functioning," IDS Borjomi said in a statement.
