12 Business Associations are requesting a meeting with Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili. Shota Burjanadze, the founder of the Restaurant Association, told BM.GE, that Associations will represent a six-point plan for overcoming the crisis in the country, in which the primary requirement is the abolishment of the curfew.

“The country's economy is partially closed for more than a year. We had a full lockdown for 6 months, which is a completely inadmissible "luxury" for a rather poor country like ours. The country has a lot of international financial commitments that need to be paid. The only guarantee for this is the active business sector, which is the main contributor to the country's budget.

Six-point Plan Includes:

1. Rapid abolishment of curfew
2. The country has to launch active preparation for tourism season
3. Restaurant business must start operating on weekends
4. Rapid vaccine roll-out
5. To reduce the tax burden on small and medium businesses
6. Stop reproducing only negative information in the country

12 Business Associations join the initiative: Georgian Restaurant Association (250,000 employees); Georgian Gastronomy Association (400 employees); Georgian Retail (Fashion) Association (25,000 employees); Georgian Distributor Association (15,000 employees); Georgian Employers' Association (70,000 employees); Georgian Shopping Center Association (17,000 employees); Georgian Taxpayers Union (30,000 employees); Georgian Federation of Manufacturers (3,000 employees); Georgian Transport and Roads Association (50,000 employees); Mountain Resorts Business Association (1,000 employees); Georgian Federation of Salons and Aesthetics Centers (1500 employees); Georgian Builders Association (6,000 employees).
