Saba Kiknadze, director of tour company Caucasus Travel declares about Natia Turnava’s statement on flight resumption from February, 2021, that the sector cannot make plans based on Turnava’s announcement.
"If it really opens, then we will start making plans. We will inform the partners and those plans will be probably attached for April-May. However, just merely the announcement does not give us anything. We cannot trust the statement, such announcement has been made in June and sent information to our companies, although the decision has not been implemented. If the agreement is signed with the airlines, where it is explicitly written that they will start flying from this number, it is another matter, but we will not make a decision only according to the Minister," Saba Kiknadze said.
According to Kiknadze, the summer season was failed in vain. He notes, that nothing worse could have happened in the case of tourists’ arrival.
