Tbilisi Mayor Announces Next Stage of Taxi Reform

Taxi reform is not completed, there should be next stages, - Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze declared it while presenting a report on transport policy reform.

According to him, the community will get information on the next steps of Taxi reform in advance.

“Reforms are not completed in this direction. There should be next stage and we will inform the population and taxi drivers about it later. This service must be well-arranged, as many people use taxi service on a daily basis. The cars must be clean in order the people to enjoy travel by taxi. So, we will have to take the next steps in the future”, - Kakha Kaladze declared.

Taxi reform started on October 1, 2018.

As of October 1, 2019, drivers are obliged to have white vehicles and a sign with the inscription ‘TAXI Tbilisi’ visible on their vehicle.
