The Eastern European Regional DNS Forum (EE DNS Forum 2020) will be held in Tbilisi on November 18-19, focusing on the development of Internet domains and digital infrastructure across the region. The annual forum is organized by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and supported by Caucasus Online as the top-level domain administrator of .GE Georgia.
Given the current epidemic situation, the event will be held in a fully digital format.
The online forum will be opened by Maarten Botterman, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ICANN. The forum will also be attended by the representatives of Eastern European internet and telecommunications companies, public sector representatives, stakeholders and speakers who will share international experience with the participants, as well as talk about the latest challenges and trends in the domain industry.
Purpose of the forum:
Finding the best ways to solve problems in the DNS industry and the Internet in general. Sharing local and international experiences and trends for the coming years. Topics, featured speakers and the opportunity to ask the most critical questions.
This year's program includes the following issues:
● Regional focus on Domain Name Internationalization (IDN) and Universal (UA) acceptance;
● Identification Technology Performance Indicators (ITHI) and ICANN DNS Ecosystem Improvement;
● Enhancing the security capabilities of DNS;
● Business continuity for registrars. Regional approach.
