The National Bank of Georgia has announced new official exchange rates. Against the US dollar, the lari strengthened by 0.01 tetri, resulting in one dollar's value becoming 3.3137 lari.
With the euro, the lari depreciated by 0.42 tetri. As a result, the value of one euro became 3.9466 GEL.
The national currency also depreciated against the British pound sterling. The depreciation was 0.68 tetri, resulting in the value of one pound becoming 4.4248 GEL.
For reference: yesterday, the NBG held the 24th foreign exchange auction in 2020 and sold $ 46.5 million. In total, the National Bank sold $ 823 million during the year.
