The Parliament will hear the Minister of Education and Science, Giorgi Amilakhvar, and the Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri, within interpellation.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri, who was summoned to the plenary session of the Parliament, will have to explain the actions of the law enforcement officers during the March 7-8 demonstrations.

Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri was summoned by eight opposition MPs in the format of interpellation. Their question to the Minister is about how proportionate the force that the law enforcement officers used against the demonstrators on March 7-8 of this year was and whether it represented an illegal interference with the freedom of assembly and expression. Also, whether special means (water cannon, so-called pepper spray and tear gas) were used in accordance with the relevant rules.

The Minister of Education, Giorgi Amilakhvari, was summoned by the National Movement faction with an interpellation regarding the issue of free meals for children in schools.
