The revenues and profits of Poti Sea Port Corporation have decreased. The company published its financial report. According to the document, in 2021, the assets of the Poti Port holder company decreased by GEL 7 million (3.6%) to GEL 187,488 million, while the net profit - by 37.9 million (31%) to GEL 83.23 million.

“Revenues are 4% lower than in 2020. The reduced volumes handled at the port are due to the general crisis in the market. The current lack of container availability stems from global supply chain disruptions due to the pandemic, as well as importers in both Azerbaijan and Armenia have shifted part of their routes from Asia to Iran. We have partially mitigated this negative impact by further developing non-container cargo handling capabilities, which have not been so severely affected," the company's management report said.
Last year, 302,082 TEU containers were processed in Poti Port, in 2020, there were 387,368 units. The total cargo tonnage was 1,366,668 tons (2020 – 1.013 million tons).
