What Were Georgia's Main Exports In 10M2021?

In January-October 2021 the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 11 352.4 million, 23% higher to the same period of 2020, - according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

The document reads, that copper ores and concentrates claimed first place in the list of top export items of Georgia. The country received a revenue of USD 655 million, which was 19% of the total exports. Ferroalloys rank on the second place with USD 374 million, and the third place was occupied by the re-export of passenger cars, from which Georgia received USD 373 million.

TOP-10 Major Commodity Groups By Exports In 10M2021:

1.Copper ores and concentrates - USD 655.6 million, a decrease of 1.8% y-o-y; (2/3 of copper ore exports are re-exports of ores imported from Armenia in transit);
2. Ferroalloys – USD 377.9 million, an increase of 90.6% y-o-y;
3. Cars – USD 373.3 million, an increase of 11.2% y-o-y;
4. Natural Grape Wines – USD 189.1 million, an increase of 15.9% y-o-y;
5. Spiritous beverages – USD 122 million, an increase of 22.3% y-o-y;
6. Natural or artificial mineral and aerated waters, not containing added sugar – USD 118.4 million, an increase of 26.6%;
7. Hazelnuts and other nuts - USD 90 million, an increase of 32.1% y-o-y;
8. Medicaments put up in measured doses - USD 79.6 million, an increase of 1.3% y-o-y;
9. Nitrogenous fertilizers - USD 76.4 million, an increase of 31.2% y-o-y;
10. T-shirts knitted – USD 54 million, an increase of 70% y-o-y;

Other commodities – USD 992 million, an increase of 39%.
