The new head of United Airports of Georgia, Irakli Karkashadze, states that his main goal is to bring as many new airlines to Georgia as possible.
"With the involvement of the Ministry of Economy and related agencies, we will be able to further develop the aviation industry in Georgia and help stimulate economic growth. My main goal is to attract as many airlines as possible, because more direct flights mean more tourists, which is one of the main contributors to the development of our country's economy. Special attention will be paid to the development of the Georgian aviation industry as a commercially profitable business and, of course, to Kutaisi International Airport, which has great potential and future", says Karkashadze.
Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili introduced the new head of United Airports of Georgia to the employees on January 16.
Irakli Karkashadze has professional education and extensive experience in the aviation sector. Irakli Karkashadze previously held the office of Deputy Mayor of Kutaisi. The former head of the United Airports of Georgia, Tamar Archuadze, became a member of the executive board.
