The Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee held a working meeting of the Thematic Inquiry Group and discussed the “Main Challenges for the Small and Medium Business and Facilitation Mechanisms in Crisis and Post-Crisis Periods”.
The Working Group received 22 written positions from various subjects, including individuals, public and civil sectors, and international actors and determined the list of the subjects to be invited to the verbal hearing to afterward, develop the recommendations.
“Small and medium business is one of the guarantees of the economic sustainability and the greatest part of our economy, also taking the immense share in the world economy and hence, one of the largest employers. Thus, it is important to hear about the problems they encounter in the post-crisis period and find the facilitation mechanisms to ensure its rapid restoration, to serve as a milestone of the country”, - the Chair of the Committee, David Songulashvili stated.
