Enterprise Georgia, the state agency promoting entrepreneurship, investment and exports, on Monday said products by 10 Georgian toy-making companies had been showcased at Spielwarenmesse, the “largest” international exhibition of toys in Nuremberg, Germany.
Georgian brands including Woodsy, Tamashobana, Odindeli, Kokito, Left-Handed Master, Dino Wood, Rusana, Ikokids, Gogora and Tviti presented their products at the fair with the support of the Economic Security Programme of the United States Agency for International Development.
The state agency said it had cooperated with the USAID Programme over the years to develop the domestic toy production industry with the help of experts, as well as for preparing Georgian companies for participation in international exhibitions, expansion of market connections and stimulation of sales.
The Nuremberg fair hosted about 3,000 toy manufacturing companies from 60 countries. Held annually since 1949, the exhibition is one of the largest trade fairs in the industry, involving manufacturers, visitors and media, and hosting over 70,000 guests annually.
