There are already 186 kindergartens in Tbilisi. The mayor of the capital Kakha Kaladze stated about it at the session of the municipality government.
According to Kakha Kaladze, a few days ago, a newly built kindergarten N104 was opened in the first micro-district of Mukhiani, which can accommodate 270 children.
"Since 2018, 18 new kindergartens have been built and opened in Tbilisi, which meet all European standards, and you can see the taste and quality of these projects. The damaged buildings of 10 kindergartens were rehabilitated. Currently, 11 kindergartens are under construction, 3 of which are being built instead of damaged buildings. In December of this year, another fortification-reconstruction project will start in the 89th kindergarten, which is located in Gldani A micro-district. Currently, the process of strengthening and reconstruction of two kindergarten buildings is underway, one of which - the 155th kindergarten will be completed by the end of the year and the children who have moved to the alternative space will return to the renovated kindergarten," - said the mayor.
According to Kakha Kaladze, this year, more than 13 million GEL was provided for the infrastructure projects of kindergartens, and next year the budget will increase and 19 million GEL will be allocated.
According to him, before the resumption of the educational process, 10 types of products for children were distributed to families of up to 60,000 children.
