The European Union has a total of 10 candidate countries, of which Georgia’s GDP per capita exceeds that of 3 countries. Due to the ongoing war, the lowest figure is in Ukraine, which is $6.3 thousand. In addition, it is important to note that when Georgia was granted candidate country status, that is, in December 2023, Georgia was ahead of both Albania and North Macedonia in terms of GDP, although according to estimates for 2025, the GDP per capita of these countries is higher than Georgia's.
