A total of 4,200 Georgian citizens were expelled from the European Union in the first six months of 2026, according to Eurostat statistics. Georgians were among the most frequently expelled nationalities during the period.
In the second quarter alone, 2,140 Georgian citizens were expelled from the EU. By this measure, only citizens of Turkey and Syria recorded higher numbers.
For comparison, a total of 10,475 Georgian citizens were expelled from the EU in 2025, according to Eurostat.
Among EU member states, Germany, France and Poland recorded the highest numbers of expulsions, Eurostat data show.
