Vintage 2025 in Kakheti is underway, with 64,000 tons of grapes already processed and more than 4,500 winegrowers delivering their crops to wineries.

According to the National Wine Agency, the majority of the harvest so far includes two key Georgian grape varieties:

  • Saperavi – 29,300 tons
  • Rkatsiteli – 28,300 tons

The remaining volume consists of other local varieties.

Out of 425 wine companies and cellars registered with the Harvest Coordination Headquarters, 163 are already actively involved in grape processing. The headquarters is operating 24/7, ensuring that all resources are mobilized to support winegrowers and prevent any disruptions during the harvest season.

The large-scale mobilization highlights the importance of the grape harvest, not only for the Kakheti region but also for Georgia’s wine industry as a whole, which continues to play a vital role in the country’s economy and international exports.
