The real estate market in Georgia’s leading seaside city continues to attract strong foreign interest. According to Galt & Taggart’s Batumi Real Estate Market Review, around 77% of apartments sold in 2025 were purchased by foreign buyers, based on data collected from local developers.

The report highlights that the majority of demand accounts for Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Israel, and various European countries, while interest from Turkey, the Arab world, and Central Asia is also on the rise.

A particularly notable increase has been observed among the buyers from Israel, who now account for 16% of total sales. The study notes that most purchases are investment-oriented, reflecting Batumi’s growing appeal as a destination for rental income and property value appreciation.

As for European buyers, expectations surrounding Georgia’s potential EU integration and the associated anticipated rise in property prices have served as key motivators for investment. Although recent geopolitical developments have slightly slowed European demand, Europe remains a significant driver of Batumi’s real estate sales.
