The Asian Development Bank (ADB) forecasts a 3.8% inflation rate for Georgia in 2026, slightly lower than the expected 3.9% in 2025. However, ADB warns that disruptions in supply chains and potential increases in oil prices could exacerbate inflationary pressures. The bank predicts that inflation will decrease further to 3.3% by 2027.

Regarding economic growth, ADB expects a slowdown in Georgia’s economic growth rate in 2026, with the country’s GDP growth slowing from 7.5% in 2025 to 5.5% in 2026. This decline is attributed to a slowdown in the services sector and a decrease in external demand.

Despite global shocks, ADB recognizes that Georgia has maintained its economic resilience, showing a strong 7.5% growth in 2025. However, external risks, such as the war in Ukraine and tensions in the Middle East, may slow global recovery and increase inflationary pressure. To sustain economic growth, ADB recommends deeper regional and global integration, continued investments in infrastructure, strengthened economic ties with regional partners, and support for the private sector.

The ADB also predicts a growth of 2.4% in industry in 2026, up from 1.4% in 2025, with construction and manufacturing driving the growth. The services sector will remain a key growth driver, though its pace will slow, while agriculture is expected to stabilize and grow by 1.7% in 2027 after a decline in 2025.
