Tamar Davituliani, the founder of hotel"Garemo" declares, that the number of people wishing to rest in Racha is not so high this year. The reason is related to the fears among the population after last year's hard season.
As Davituliani said on the air of "Business Morning", the political processes taking place in the country also hinder bookings.
"Hotel "Garemo" already has bookings, but we cannot consider the progress of tourism only by our example. After a tough season last year, there are too many risks and questions about Racha. In addition, the current political situation prevents business from developing properly. Our guests are active, including from Europe, but they do not make reservations yet and say that they will decide whether to come or not depending on the situation. This applies to the locals as well, they also observe the current events in the country and after that decide how much they will have a festive mood and the opportunity to relax.
Wrong policies should not be followed, it hurts our sector. It would be correct to take into account people's choices and not what is guided by their own interests.
From our point of view, progress is in education and education is in Europe. They try to take us to a place where there is no freedom and democracy. The businesses are focused on getting more grants and creating more opportunities in our business, this is affecting the sector. There were projects that contributed a lot to our growth, it was with the help of non-governmental organizations that are now called agents. They were actually carriers of our interests, and if this is not the case, the development of new startups will not be possible," said Davituliani.
