Deputy Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Uzra Zeya will visit Armenia following her visit to Georgia in 2024.

Uzra Zeya arrived in Georgia on July 11 and will visit Armenia by July 17.

According to the State Department's press service, the visit aims to participate in discussions on democratic governance and anti-corruption efforts.

In Armenia, Zeya will meet with high-ranking government officials and representatives of civil society.

BMG reminds that from July 8 to 11, Samantha Power, the Director of USAID, visited Armenia to reaffirm the "deepening partnership between the U.S. and Armenia and to underscore support for the Armenian government's reform program to enhance the country's resilience."
