Almond imports to Georgia rose sharply in the first quarter of 2026. The country imported 297 tons worth USD 631,000, marking a 301.9% increase in value and a 318.3% rise in volume compared to the same period last year.
Azerbaijan was the main supplier, accounting for 264 tons valued at USD 454,000. Turkey ranked second, exporting 33 tons worth USD 176,000 to Georgia.
Meanwhile, Georgia did not export any in-shell almonds in Q1 2026. In contrast, during the same period in 2025, the country exported 13 tons worth USD 56,500, all of which went to Armenia.
