On the sidelines of the Doing Digital Forum 2024, Diana Akopyan, Co-Director of Ameriabank's currency and brokerage operations, stated that the current year will see increased activity in the IPO market, according to the "ARKA" agency.
Akopyan noted that the adoption of a state support program aimed at encouraging companies to go public may lead to increased activity in this sphere.
She pointed out the growing interest of Armenian citizens in investing, especially in the context of using the MyInvest platform developed by Ameriabank.
"The number of broker-clients of the platform has increased by more than 3 times over the past year. In particular, Armenian clients show interest not only in Armenian bonds but also in foreign ones, such as US government bonds," she explained.
Ameriabank, a leader in financial technology, plays a key role in the Armenian economy, with assets exceeding 1 trillion Armenian drams (over $2.5 billion). In its pursuit of digital transformation, the bank has implemented a range of innovative platforms and solutions, continuing to improve them, thus creating a dynamic and evolving financial technology environment that meets the diverse needs of its clients.
